Having risen through the ranks of first Quality Assurance, then Technical, it was only a matter of time before Health and Safety was thrust upon me. Having said that, I took to it like a duck to water, initially within the plastics, then the printing industry before reaching the heights of UK SHE Manager within the chemicals industry.

One thing led to another and I started off  on my own 18 months ago, serving the chemical, manufacturing and construction industries with a particular specialism in the “black art” that are Top Tier COMAH registered sites.

I have a breadth of experience in process safety, human factors, confined spaces and explosive atmospheres but am mindful of the need to keep safety realistic in this world of ‘elf and safety.
